This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data when you attend our online course.

2. What Data We Collect
When you register and create an account on the course platform, the following data is collected:
- Name, and email address
- Login credentials for the learning platform (TutorLMS on WordPress)
- Course activity data (progress)
- Billing information and payment details (via WooCommerce. Note: we do not store full payment card details; payment is processed by Stripe)
3. Purpose of Processing
We process your personal data to:
- Register and manage your user account
- Provide access to course content and track learning progress
- Communicate important information about the course
- Handle payments, invoices, and bookkeeping
- Improve our course and website services
The legal basis for processing is your agreement when you register for the course and our legal obligations regarding financial records.
4. Data Storage Period
- Course participation data (TutorLMS): stored as long as you have an active account. If your account is inactive for 12 months, your data will be deleted or anonymized.
- User accounts: until you request deletion or after 12 months of inactivity of inactivity
- Payment and billing data (WooCommerce): as required by Finnish law, the data is stored for 6 years after the end of the calendar year in which the purchase of the course occurred.
5. Data Sharing and Transfers
We use third-party services to run our website and course:
- WordPress & TutorLMS (course platform, user account management)
- WooCommerce (order and billing management)
- Payment provider (Stripe)
If you’re purchasing the course: your billing information and payment details may be transferred outside the European Economic Area (EEA) by the payment provider. Where this happens, the provider uses appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses or other GDPR-compliant mechanisms.
If you’re not purchasing the course (for example, you’re receiving free access as part of a coaching package or through a third-party provider), no billing or payment information is collected by us, and other course-related data is stored on servers located within the EEA.
6. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate or outdated information
- Request deletion of your data (unless we must keep it for legal/accounting reasons)
- Restrict or object to certain processing activities
- Receive your data in a portable format
- File a complaint with the Finnish Data Protection Ombudsman (tietosuoja.fi) if you believe your data is handled unlawfully
7. Security
We use technical and organizational measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. Access to your data is limited to authorized personnel only.
